My interests include...
  • Seafloor ecosystems and how they change in response to human activities resulting from climate change and deep-sea mining (ATLANTIS, SMARTEX)
  • The role of marine life in storing carbon in the ocean (BIO-Carbon, BIOPOLE)
  • The Twilight Zone, the poorly understood but vital, globe-spanning ecosystem between 200-1000m depth in the ocean (JETZON, BIO-Carbon, BIOPOLE)
  • How the ecosystems of the polar regions influence the rest of the ocean (BIOPOLE, CUSTARD)
  • How the eddies that make up the weather of the ocean influence marine life
  • Working to improve the diversity of marine science (Primary Focus)
